Need a little substance at your ghostly gathering? These are easy & tasty!

·        3 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
·        1 container (8 oz) softened chive-&-onion flavored cream cheese
·        4 oz can of pimiento, drain the juices
·        ½ cup pecans, chopped & toasted
·        24 slices of whole wheat or pumpernickel bread.
·        3 to 4 inch bat-shaped cutter

Mix together the cheddar cheese, cream cheese, pimento, & pecans. Cut two bats from each slice of bread. Spread 2 tablespoons of the filling on half the bats (24). Top off the sandwich with the remaining 24 bats. Voila!
